Some sketches from Drawing Class

I have started my art classes! Yay!!! Here are some 15 minutes gesture sketches we did in class. Nothing real special, however they turned out better than I had expected. I'm not much good at sketching honestly. :)

It's been a while...

It's been quite a while since my previous post! I've been busy getting adjusted to my new major and trying not to stress out too much. :D Here's a picture of a wolf entitled "The Black Wolf" that I drew during Christmas break with my new Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Faber-Castelle Illustrating Pens.

I very much enjoy the mysterious nature surrounding wolves. In this piece, I have depicted him as more of a bad omen rather than a good one. I took inspiration for this piece from a vivid nightmare I once had in which a matted black wolf with dead, ebony eyes possessed me in an attempt to steal my soul. In the end, he revealed himself as a horrid monster that followed me for the rest of my life and I could not escape him.

Yakul (Done with Prismacolor Markers)

I received a lovely set of Prismacolor markers for Christmas and was eager to use them! I decided to draw Prince Ashitaka's Red Elk, Yakul from Princess Mononoke. He's just so cute! I hadn't gotten the blending marker yet (and I've never used Prismacolor markers before either) but its not bad! I'd give him pets and hugs! :) Oh, and that's sheet music for Nausicaa's Requiem behind him. I'm such a dork! :D

Hello!

My name is Emilyne (I go by Emily), and I'm currently an Art Major (Commercial Emphasis) with a Writing Minor at Carroll University. I actually just switched from Laboratory Science as its about time I did something I truly enjoy! It's been a long time since I've done a large amount of art, however I will post pictures of ongoing projects! :D
